Permissions requested by LPU UnderCover While LPU UnderCover doesn't request any special permission, the following details which permissions are required by the app and the reasons why they are requested INTERNET: Allows the app to check faculty on leave online from LPU UMS ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Allows app to check if packet data is on for faculty on leave check VIBRATE: Allows app to make the phone vibrate at faculty on leave reminder notification ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Allows the app to check if wifi is on or off. CHANGE_WIFI_STATE: Allows the app to switch on and off wifi during faculty on leave check notification RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Allows the app to start after phone restart. WAKE_LOCK: Prevents the phone from sleeping during faculty on leave check EDIT on 21-Aug-17  READ_EXTERNAL STORAGE : Needed for setting different wallpaper than the default ones

 Why faculty on leave reminder are delivered before my chosen time? Ans. For Android 4.4 and lower reminders are delivered exactly at your chosen time. For Android 5.0+ Android framework gives the option to utilize battery saving techniques. So, Reminders are delivered in a fifteen mins time slot i.e. minus your chose reminder time until your chosen time. the Android OS wakes the device in this slot anytime when it feels appropriate, but Android OS will wake the device if the time slot gets finished. Why my faculty on leave reminder didn't get delivered? Ans. Note: If internet connection is not found it will still deliver the notification. This privacy policy applies to the App and all services offered by LPU UnderCover. How the information is shared? This App does not share ANY user's information with ANYONE. This App establishes ONE AND ONLY ONE connection and that is with the LPU UMS. When is the information saved? This App collects the registration number and password from the user at the time of login to the App. From there it saves your name, profile photo as in LPU UMS (https://ums.lpu.in/lpuums) to display it in the App. It again saves the password when User enters it again because the User changed the password in LPU UMS.
